Ralph A Jolliff

Ralph was the beloved husband of the late Jeanne Jolliff; loving father of Marina (Thomas) Jacques, Phaedra (Charles) Wilson, and Thana (Louis II) Reemtsma, Michele (Andrew) Mackenthun, Carrie Carlson, Timothy (Jill Daughtery) Curtis, Jeff (Marjorie) Curtis, Howard Curtis, Jimmi (Andi) Curtis, Michael Curtis, Dear brother to Harold James (Linda) Jolliff. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Ruth Jolliff; siblings, Charles Jolliff, Robbin Frederick Jolliff, Ruth Ann Core and Jeffery Robert Jolliff, all of Ohio; Grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and cousin to many; Special friend of Mike and Sandy Hanford.

Ralph served in the United States Navy from 1962 -1966 aboard The USS Frank E Evans as a Boatswain Mate Petty Officer 3rd class during the Vietnam era. He worked as a tool and die repair operator for Elco Textron in Rockford for more than 30 years retiring in 2003. Ralph enjoyed working outdoors, motorcycles, and discovering the best burger places; but most of all he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend and will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.

A Walk Through Visitation will be held Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 10am until the time of Private Family Service at 12pm at Sunset Funeral Home (8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115). Private Entombment on Monday, March 22, 2021.
