Richard "Dick" C. Krause

Richard “Dick” C. Krause, 87, was welcomed into heaven on Monday, September 26, 2016. In a life well celebrated, he married Dorothy Brauer in October 1958, together they shared 57 years while raising their family in a home filled with love. Dick owned and operated for 55 years, Marketplace of the Master (previously Lutheran Bible and Church Supplies). He served each church in which he was a member, as chairman of the congregation, Sunday School superintendent, Bible study leader, and other capacities, as the hands and feet of Jesus. His passion for the theatre led him to write, direct, produce and act in many plays and pageants over the years. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Dick is lovingly survived by wife, Dorothy; children, Jonathan (Judy), Kathryn (Ziyad Shihadah), Mark (Kathy) Krause; grandchildren, Andrei, Abigail, Sarah, Dana, Tariq, Victoria, Emma, Colin, Kaitlyn.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m. on Sat. Oct. 1, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church 2001 N. Alpine Rd. Rockford, IL. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the church. To express condolences, visit www.sunsetfhmemgardens.com
