Ronald Gene Granberg, 83, of Rockford, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 5, 2018. Born August 16, 1935 in Rockford, IL. Son of Thurston and Violet (Schelin) Granberg. United in marriage to Geraldine Armato on August 27, 1955 in Trinity Lutheran Church. Ron’s career span from accounting for Sunstrand to owning his own bar the Cubs Tap on Broadway back to accounting for Troch Oil Company. Member of the LLL Society. Diehard fan of the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears. Found enjoyment in fishing, playing cards and watching or listening to the Cubs.
Survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Geraldine; sons, Jeff, Dennis and Mike (Noel); grandchildren, Megan and Zach; sister, Darlene Husband; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; brother-in-law, Dick Husband.
