Ronald G. Hodyniak Jr.

Ronald George Hodyniak Jr., aged 66, of Loves Park, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. He was born August 15, 1959 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Ronald George Hodyniak Sr. and Betty Jane (Wintermute). Ronald worked for many years as a welder and fabricator and went on to become a CNC machinist. He played softball for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He liked to go bowling and play darts with friends. Ron was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed NASCAR and always rooted for Rusty Wallace. He enjoyed listening to music, especially anything for the eighties. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by his children, Troy Hodyniak, Chrissy (John) Gansmann, Sammi (Justin) Hodyniak, Jayda (Jon) Foster, and Ronald G Hodyniak III; grandchildren, Serenity, Caleb, Robert, Taylor, Jaryth, Jaxyn, Kaden, Noah, James, Ariana, Aleah, and Milena; siblings, Steven (Shellie) Hodyniak, Michael (Barb) Hodyniak, and Catherine (Ray) McKee; best friend, Mike Sherwood; children’s mothers, Robin Richardson and Regina Kuehne; and granddog, Mia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ronald Hodyniak Sr, and Betty (Erwin Zenke) Hodyniak.

A visitation for Ronald will be held on Thursday, June 18 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115. Cremation to follow.
