Ronald E. Niday, 85, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully in his home with his loving wife at his side on March 2, 2022. He was born in Rockford, IL on April 13, 1936. Ronald married Anne Allen Alldritt on May 10, 1980. Ronald proudly served in the US Army for 3 years. He was a Master Mason of the Cherry Valley Lodge 173 A.F & A.M. He was also a member of the American Legion post 1207 and Aldersgate Methodist Church. Ronald was a former member of the Rockford Model T Club and Tebala Shrine. He enjoyed driving Model T’s and visiting every antique shop. Ronald loved reenacting the Civil War at different locations around the area. He and his wife Anne traveled all around the world, visiting places such as; Europe, Alaska and the Caribbean. Ronald will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Anne; his step children, Sallie (Bob) Morgensen and William (Denise) Alldritt; his grandchildren, Carrie (Mark) Lindhe, Don Niday Jr., Ronald Niday, Bret (Deven) Morgensen, Eric Morgensen, Nathan (Molly) Alldritt, Lilly Alldritt and Lindsay Alldritt; his great grandchildren, Phillip, Aiden, Jack, Madaline, Wyatt and Emma; his siblings, Richard (Sandy) Niday and Nancy Wilson; and his faithful dog, Lucky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stacia Gibson and his son, Don Ray Niday Sr.
Funeral Service for Ronald will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 4055 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation starts at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
