

Roy “Curly” Williams, 88, of Machesney Park, passed away February 28, 2015 at his home with family. He was born December 6, 1926 in Rockford. He married Marian Kay Ashman on September 19, 1973 in Rockford.
A U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII, Curly was a member of Oaks Ridge Riders Snowmobile Club, Moonriders Snowmobile Club, and Early Ford V-8 Club.
He enjoyed car raising, riding his snowmobile and motorcycle, restoring antique cars, especially his 1934 Ford Coupe.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Marian K. Williams; children, Christine (Butch) Taylor, Brad Williams, Mike (Dee) Williams, Mary Metheny, and Ginger (Jim) Conroy; grandchildren, Michelle (Spencer) Hammer, Chad (Sunny) Williams, Alex Williams, Sophia Arnold, Michael (Trisha) Rice, Reagan Conroy, Reese Conroy, and Ashley Rice; great-grandchildren, Reese, Lillie Rose, and Graceann Taylor, Zayn, Landyn, Haylei Quinn, and Braelynn Rice; and 4 other great grandchildren.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7th, at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park; Chaplain Greg Nicholl officiating.
