

Ruth Edna Plock, 97, of Rockford, Illinois, joined her Heavenly Father on July 6, 2026. Ruth was born on June 26, 1929, in Sterling, Illinois, to Ernest and Edna Hoover. Ruth graduated from East High School in 1947. On August 15, 1948, Ruth married the love of her life, Richard Plock. Ruth retired from RLB Production. Being a devoted member of Beth Eden United Methodist Church led her to several volunteer passions including time spent as Communion Steward, Worship Altar Committee, and Meals on Wheels to just name a few. Ruth was truly loving, caring, and a woman of faith. She also enjoyed her time with the Leinenkugel Choral Group, Bridge Club, and as an Election Judge with Winnebago County. She loved being with her family and friends, working in the yard, planting flowers, and traveling with her husband.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy (Harry) Larson, and Sue (Bob) Alderman; son-in-law, Gerry Faleo; grandchildren, Carey (Matthias) Klein, Angela (Casey) Shannon, Danny (Jessy) Quisenberry, Kandy Johnson, Tammy Larson, Scott (Alicia) Rossato, Troy (Priscilla) Rossato, and Autumn (Kent) Alderman; great-grandchildren, Kristopher Klein, Kiepher Klein, Samantha Stubley, Scott Stubley, Elizabeth Shannon, Emma Shannon, Finn Shannon, Aubrie Dahlhauser, Ava Rossato, Alaina Rossato, Amora Rossato, Skyler Cardoso, Santino Rossato, Boston Quisenberry, Taylor Luthe-Ferrer, Gage Firman, Nathan Quisenberry, April Morgan, Devon Johnson, Bailee Johnson, and Sebastian Larson.
She was reunited with her husband, Richard; daughter, Linda Faleo; granddaughter, Lindsey Stone; mother and father, Ernest and Edna Hoover and all of her siblings in Heaven.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beth Eden United Methodist Church.
