Sharon Lynn McCoy, 73, of Roscoe, IL, passed away suddenly, Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born on February 3, 1953 in Savanna, IL, the daughter of Warner and Mary (Longenecker) Zissler. Sharon married the love of her life, Kevin "Tim" McCoy, on October 16, 1976 in Rockford, IL. She loved thrift store shopping and finding good deals. Most of all, she adored spending time with her family.
Sharon is loved and missed by her husband of 49 years, Kevin "Tim" McCoy; daughter, Sabrina Leigh McCoy; siblings, Mary McGrath, Judith Zissler, Robert Zissler and Gary (Brenda) Zissler; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Shelly Lynn McCoy, Brian McCoy and Bradley McCoy; siblings, Shirley Alley, Ronald Zissler, Warner Zissler and Larry Zissler.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Monday, February 23, 2026 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m.
