Shawn James Kampmeier, 28, Roscoe, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013. He was born June 24, 1984 in Rockford to Phil and Sonja Kampmeier. He passed away after a lengthy battle with drug addiction. The disease ultimately took his life but could not take away his kind heart and gentle soul. He will be deeply missed by all of those who truly knew and loved him. Our hearts are broken but will slowly heal knowing that he is now safe and at peace.

His brother and sister were the light of his life. They adored their big brother and Shawn was very proud of both of them. They are comforted knowing that Shawn will be forever with them.
