Suzanne Kay (Puddicombe) Coleman went home to be with the Lord after a tragic accident on August 1, 2010. She was born March 2, 1944 the daughter of Burdell and Dora (Shaw) Puddicombe. Married David Coleman on March 17, 1963. Lifelong resident of the stateline area, Sue was a mom and a friend to all who entered her home. Survived by husband David Coleman; children, Nannette (Norm) Reid, David (Dawn) Coleman II, Beverly (Terry) Pomering; seven grandchildren; sisters, Pat Hayter, Bonnie Coffen; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; brother, Ken Puddicombe; brothers-in-law, John Hayter and Gil Coffen; sister-in-law, Fran Lindquist; and two nephews. Special thanks to the good samaritans who stopped to be with her. Memorial services will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 6, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine, Machesney Park, IL. A gathering of friends and family will be held from 1-2 pm Friday at the funeral home. Inurnment will be private. In honor of Suzanne, there will be a dinner gathering at 4:00 pm at the Rockton Community Center, 302 W. Main, Rockton, IL.
