

Terry L. Leatherby 76, of Roscoe, finished his best golf game in Fl. of 78 and 19 days later was welcomed into the arms of Christ. In a life well celebrated, Terry loved his family, was quick witted and people loved to be in his company. Whenever you mentioned Terry’s name it was always followed with a smile. Born March 22, 1942 in Rockford, Il. to Lawrence and Geneivieve (Bramhall). In 1960 he married Nancy Jamerson and spent 57 years together while raising their family in a home filled with love. Terry worked for over 30 years for the Harlem School District as a director of building and grounds and was considered a valued employee. Both he and Nancy retired at age 55 so they could enjoy the benefits of retirement and that they did. They traveled coast to coast RVing and embracing nature and all the adventures that come with travel. Terry was an adventurist, he enjoyed fishing; snowmobiling, a great bowler, golfing, boat racing and was a member of the APBA hall of fame. He attended Northeast Christian Church in Rockford.
Survivors: wife, Nancy; children, Timothy (Cheryl) Leatherby, Lisa (Thomas) Will; Mitchell Leatherby, Andrew Yomantas, Nicholas Leatherby, Adam Karabin, Samantha Thomas, Noah Leatherby. Predeceased by parents; grandson, Nathan Leatherby; brother, James Leatherby.
