Terry Lee Smith, 75, of Waddell, Arizona, and formerly of the Greater Rockford, Illinois area, joined his Heavenly Father on July 27, 2026. Terry was born in Trumann, Arkansas, on September 3, 1950, to Jack and Betty Smith. Terry relocated to the Rockford area at a very young age and graduated from Harlem High School in 1968. That same year, Terry married the love of his life, Marsha Whelchel. In 1969, Terry began his electrician apprenticeship and became a part of the local IBEW for 48 years before retirement. In his retirement, he made a joyful move to Arizona to be with family.
Terry enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting whenever he had the chance. He was the type of man to do anything for anyone with no questions asked. He was especially loyal to his family, and loved each moment spent with them. Above all else, he loved God. He was a member of Radiant Church in Arizona for several years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marsha Smith; children, Brian (Donika) Smith and Dustin Smith; 7 grandchildren; mother, Betty Smith; brother, Alexander Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, brother, and sister.
A memorial visitation will take place at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Firstborn Ministries, 8213 North Alpine Road, Loves Park, IL 61115, until the time of his memorial service at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest privately at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
