Timothy A. D'Angelo

Tim was born on December 13, 1960 in Rockford, the son of John and Dolores (Akers) D’Angelo. Tim was a member of Roofers Union #11; he was a Boy Scout, Order of the Arrow and then became an Eagle Scout. Tim graduated in the top 5% of his class of 1978 at West High in Rockford. He was a former GSR, he held many positions in AA and was a Friend of Bill W.’s for 28 years. Tim belonged to IGroup for men, Wisconsin Mankind Project, and was a meeting coordinator for the Winnebago County Jail. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite. Tim was a Level 3 Tai Chi instructor, member of the International Harley Owners Group and a member of National Leonberger Club of America. Tim was a Gift of Hope Donor.

Tim is survived by his mother Dolores, daughters Nicole D’Angelo and Ariel D’Angelo, girlfriend, Wendy Slick, sister Teri Herbert, brother Ted D’Angelo, sister Twyla Hauser, sister Tina McCarty and brother Joe D’Angelo, numerous other relatives, his future grandchild, and his leonberger Nala aka “Little Girl”

Tim was preceded in death by his father John, and brothers Tylor and Tom

In lieu of flowers, family suggest memorials to Gift of Hope or Man Kind Project

Masonic Rites will be conducted followed by a memorial gathering to celebrate Tim’s well lived life on Wednesday June 7, 2017 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home 8800 N. Alpine Road in Machesney Park.
