Toni Danaija Henry, the beloved daughter of Talshena Young and Demardicus Henry, was born on July 21, 2014, in Rockford, IL. Toni attended Rolling Green elementary school and she would have been in the 3rd grade this year. Toni departed this earthly life on August 30, 2022, due to medical complications. Toni blessed so many with her big and bright smile and laughter while she was here with us. Toni has shown us all that you can overcome anything in life. She was a bright and shining star leaving her print wherever she went, and, on every person, she came in contact with.
Toni leaves to cherish many loving memories, her parents, mother, Talshena Young, Father Demardicus Henry, one older brother Demetrius Henry, one younger sister De’Zynee Henry, her special cousin Kenterrion Pouncy, Grandmother Mary Young, Grandfather Whitfield Henry, Aunts, Lashanda Young, Latanya Young, Tiante Young, Ashley Evans, Shearesa Henry, Sheareta Henry Uncles, Al, Detravis Henry, Zachery Henry, Antonio Evans, Javarius Johnson, Godfather Adrian Bryant. and a host of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her grandparents Grandmother Regina Henry, Grandfather Tony McFadden and Aunt Eu-Tisha Henry
The family of Toni Henry wishes to acknowledge all the comforting words, cards, calls, texts, prayers, and other expressions of kindness and concern evidenced in thought and deed during this time. We would also like to thank her medical teams Rockford Memorial and Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital and give a special thanks to the GI Team and the 20th floor of Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital.
A visitation for Toni will be held Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. A homegoing service to celebrate Toni's life will occur Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 8800 North Alpine Road, Machesney Park, Illinois 61115. An entombment will occur Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Chapel of Love in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N. Alpine Road, Machesney Park, IL 61115.
