Trellis "Don" E. Bunyard

Trellis "Don" E. Bunyard, 82, of Loves Park, IL, passed away peacefully, October 1, 2026 surrounded by loving family. He was born March 9, 1944 in Ava, MO, the son of Gordon E. and Emma (Evans) Bunyard. Don married his sweetheart, Mary Jo Vaccaro, on February 14, 1970. He was employed as a computer programmer analyst. Don enjoyed muscle cars and drag raced in his younger years, especially his GTO. He loved keeping up with the stock market and doing his own investments. Don and Mary Jo loved traveling after Don retired. He will be remembered as a great man who had a stubborn streak.

Don is loved and missed his wife, Mary Jo; son, Steve (Eppy) Bunyard; grandson, Connor Bunyard; sister-in-law, Joanne (Frank) Nicosia; brother-in-law, Joseph Vaccaro; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Troy Bunyard and sister Coleen McCollum.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Joanne and Frank Nicosia, niece Michelle Sterling, great-nephew Adam Bulliner, great-niece Amber Whitmore, caregiver Norma Antor and Mercy Hospice for their loving and compassionate care of Don.
