Troy Lee Gay

Troy owned and operated his own metal stamping business, Action Tool and Manufacturing, which he ran from 1980 until this past Saturday. He enjoyed landscaping and bowling. Most off all, Troy loved spending time with his family.

Troy is survived by his wife, Penny Gay; children, Brian (Phonesavanh Malyvanh) Gay and Randy (Colleen Greenrod) Gay; grandchildren, Jean Gay, David Gay, Jackson Ott, Marlo Greenrod, and Dane Greenrod. His brother Morris Gay and Sister Juanita (Jim) Monson and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Beverly Gay; parents, James and Sciller Gay; sister, Louise Williams; sister-in-law Sharon Gay.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10:00 am at Sunset Memorial Gardens, 8800 N Alpine Rd. Machesney Park, IL 61115. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at 513 E State St. Rockford, IL, 61104.
