Virginia M. Chamberlin passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 99. Born on June 6, 1927, Virginia was a resident of Winnebago, Illinois. Virginia was born on June 6, 1927 in Birch Tree, Missouri to Wiley and Myrtle Hopkins.
Virginia was a woman with a truly good heart and it was often said that she never met a stranger. Whether sharing a conversation with a lifelong friend or someone she had just met, she had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and appreciated.
Family was the center of her world. Some of her happiest moments were spent gathered with loved ones at family picnics, regardless of the season. Her family tells the story that even in the cold months of winter, she found a way to bring family together for a picnic. Virginia found joy in the beauty of the outdoors. She loved hiking and exploring nature's trails. When she wasn't outside, she enjoyed settling in to watch her favorite golf tournaments and football games.
More than anything, she will be remembered for her warm spirit, generous heart, and genuine love for people.
