I have many happy memories of Wanda but the three foremost in my mind are :

Christmas Eves spent at David and Pat's house and the special food she made for us each year.  One dish in particular that my nieces named "Fairy Food" as it was so colorful, light, and fluffy.  

Her fantastic yard full of flowers.  

Her stories about "extreme" cleaning efforts and painting the basement floor with a tiny paintbrush.

Wanda was life smart.  You just wanted to pick her brain for real advice.  She valued family above all and we so enjoyed these years together.  Thank you for enriching our lives.  We love you!

So very very sad that I did not make effort to spend time with Wanda. I would have so enjoyed her garden. The farm is now conservation land for many to enjoy. Patty you were a special  joy to your parents.  Loads of prayers  Shirley Russell

I am Wanda's son-in-law.  I have a wealth of memories sharing family holidays.  Later in her life we had a set Christmas Eve meal routine.  Wanda would bring home baked rolls, 7-layer salad, and "fluff".  She was a wonderful gardener.  You could plant the same flowers at the same time and those at her house would be twice as big by mid-summer.  And of course all the fun stories about her cleaning disorder.  She once broke a small piece off the water softener in her basement while she was trying to clean it.  And Rocky told her she could push the vacuum around all she wanted,  just don't turn it on at 5am.  We will all miss Wanda but I know she missed Rocky terribly.  She's with him again now.

Sissy loved to come to Missouri and fish.  She loved to work in her flower garden.  She loved to spend time with our family.  Heaven gained a beautiful angel. 

I will never forget Wanda’s sweet southern accent. After moving away 10 year ago, I only got to see her at Christmas time but it was always a treat. She would talk to my southern husband about collard green recipes and good eats from the south. I’ll never forget the stories she told of my Aunt Pat growing up and living on a farm. Wanda was always kind and I looked forward to hugging her at Christmas. She will be truly missed.
