Wendell S. “Scot” Ganoe, 58, of Rockford, passed away peacefully, Sunday evening, February 10, 2019 at Swedish American Hospital after a long illness. He was born June 13, 1960 in Rockford, the son of Dennis and Eunice (Smith) Ganoe. Scot married Dawn Moore on August 9, 1980. He worked as a machinist at Crown Machines for many years. Scot enjoyed walking his dog, “Damnit”, and doing yard work.
Scot is loved and missed by his mother, Eunice Zellner; daughters, Mandy Gould and Danielle McAllister; grandchildren, Myranda, Tyler, Jameson, Gracie, Trestin, Mykenzie, and Jordyn; sister, Lisa Henrey; niece and nephews, Dustin Dockins, Misha Dockins, and Chase Dockins and special friend, Mari Behling. He was preceded in death by his wife Dawn, father Dennis, and son Eric Scot Ganoe.
A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Pine Grove Free Methodist Church, 5850 East Riverside Blvd, Loves Park, IL 61111 with a funeral service to follow. Memorials may be made to the family.
