Joyce and I want to express our gratitude to you for being so good to your parents, especially in their "Golden Years". Will would tell us that the "Golden Years" were "Horse Hockey". We both miss your parents very much and Will became my best friend and how I miss spending time visiting with him. When we look across the street at the "Johnson House" we miss them even more.

I remember how hard Will worked to support his family and how he managed to bowl 3 times a week and go camping too!  He was a great man who loved his family and I am sure he will be missed,  but joins Betty for some even better camping in heaven! 

Will and I bought our existing homes at the same time, July 1972 so we have been acquainted  for 49 years. After Will retired and I retired 10 years later we became closer and eventually good friends. There was one conundrum that Will had which drove him crazy and he never did figure it out. Will had an "over/under" gun that he really liked but he had no idea where it was. I would tease him by speculating that his wife Betty, had either hid or gave the gun to someone so that he would not "shoot his eye out". He would just laugh, but I knew it was always on his mind. We enjoyed sitting in his garage solving the problems of the world or working on some project around his house. He had a sharp mind and a good mechanical aptitude. We sort of were cut from the same cloth. Being born in Northfield Minnesota (where Jesse James and his gang tried to rob the bank and failed miserably) was an especially proud part of his past. He would boast to me that the bullet holes from that day are still in the bank building. Joyce and I wish to extend our sympathy to the family. A special thank you and our gratitude is extended to Will's daughter, Kathy. We believe that were it not for Kathy tending to Will's needs over the years that he would not have been able to stay in his home (that he loved) until the end. Our gratitude and love is sent to Kathy for sharing her time in the care of Will.

Willard was preceded by his wife Betty, son-in-law Daniel Rozier and his daughter-in-law Julie Johnson.
