William Leroy Ball, of Belvidere, Il died Wednesday April 11, after a short illness. He was born in O’Kean, Ark, on April 15, 1945 . In a life well celebrated, Bill served in the Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Patricia Weed on June 1, 1968 and together shared just 2 months shy of 50 years together raising their family in a home filled with love. Bill made a career of machine building. His passion in life was music. He entertained his family and friends playing his guitar and singing country western songs. He enjoyed drinking Blatz beer, fishing on the Sugar River, dining, movie time, and watching wrestling with his wife, Patricia. Bill took pride and joy in maintaining his yard. His grandchildren, will treasure the memories made together making root beer floats and playing Yahtzee and other board games.

Survivors: wife of almost 50 years, Patricia; children, Jeff (Marilyn) Patterson, Timina (Joe) Mott, Dana (Ryan) Parrish; 8 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; Brother Jerry Ball; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and brothers Wayne, Gene and Sam.
