William “Bill” Wienzierl, 75, of Minnesota, and formerly of Rockford, Illinois, passed away on May 24, 2026. Bill was born July 5, 1950, in Rockford, to William and Willa Wienzierl. He graduated from Harlem High School, class of 1968. After spending 3 years in college, Bill joined the United States Navy. From a young age, Bill loved baseball and made the transition from playing into coaching. He also loved to go fishing and being outside in God’s creation. Not only did he have a special love for nature, but various animals. Bill was musically talented, playing the trombone and singing throughout most of his life.
Bill is survived by his sisters, Judy Anderson and Barbara Smith; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded on death by his parents, sister, Jeanne Clark, grandparents, aunts, and uncles.
