A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road, with private interment to follow at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery for family only. Rev. Jimmy Corbitt will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Born in Macon, Anese was the daughter of the late Ruth Tyler Green and John Allen Green, and the beloved wife of the late Captain Herman B. Brown of the Macon-Bibb Fire Protection Bureau and was preceded by a son, Randy L. Brown. A proud graduate of Miller High School, she went on to earn a business degree from Crandall Business College. Before RAFB she worked as a patrol lady, crossing guard, at Union Elementary School from 1956-57. Anese dedicated much of her professional life to Robins Air Force Base, where she worked as an item manager supporting the F-15's around the country prior to being a clerk typist at the grade of a GS-2 advancing to a GS-11 prior to retirement. Upon her retirement in 1987 she enjoyed traveling around the United States and taking cruises around the Caribbean and Alaska.
Anese was a woman of deep faith and community spirit. She was a former member of Mabel White Baptist Church, active in the WMU, and participated in the XYZ Club at Vineville Baptist Church. She also enjoyed her time with the Officer’s Club at Robins Air Force Base, where she formed many lasting friendships.
She is survived by her loving son, Gary Brown (Mardrie) of Hiawassee, GA; and her cherished granddaughter, Lindsey Brown of Macon; her treasured chihuahua, Tina.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Macon Rescue Mission, 6601 Zebulon Road, Macon, GA 31220.
Arrangements are entrusted to Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Bass Road.
