Anne Bailey Middlebrooks, 82, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday at Tattnall Square Baptist Church with burial in Macon Memorial Park. The Rev. Perry Porter will officiate. The family will meet friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. They suggest that while flowers are acceptable, memorial contributions may be made to Tattnall Square Baptist Church, 4925 Zebulon Road, Macon 31210.
Mrs. Middlebrooks, daughter of the late Tom Phillips Bailey and Lois Hamlin Bailey, was a lifelong resident of Macon and a graduate of Miller High School. She was a bookkeeper retired from Tattnall Square Academy and served on the Board of Directors. Mrs. Middlebrooks was a member of Tattnall Square Baptist where she was a member of the Mary Forrester Sunday School Class. She was also a member and former treasurer of Macon Exchangettes. Mrs. Middlebrooks was preceded in death by her brother, John Robert Bailey and by her daughter-in-law, Deborah Middlebrooks.
She is survived by her devoted family, her husband, Rollin P. Middlebrooks, Jr. of Macon; her daughter, Angela (Sidney) Harrelson of Alpharetta; her son, Rollin P. Middlebrooks, III of Gray; six grandchildren, Valerie Middlebrooks of Gray, Leslie Middlebrooks Lipsey (Derek) of Gray, Rollin P. Middlebrooks, IV of Macon, Sid Harrelson, Bryce Harrelson and Paige Harrelson, all of Alpharetta; sister-in-law, Dianne Bailey of Georgetown, FL; her niece, Merica Morris of Macon; her nephews, David Bailey of Forsyth and Darryl Bailey of Hilton Head, SC; two great grandchildren, Mason and Lane Lipsey of Gray; several great nieces and great nephews.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to the wonderful caregivers at The Oaks at Peake and in the Fourth Floor Medical ICU of the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
