Asbury Carl Roby, Jr., 82, passed away Thursday, March 07, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, entering through the North Gate. Rev. Cass Ducharme will officiate. The family will greet friends beginning at 12:00 Noon prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Roby was born and raised in Macon, Georgia the son of the late Isabelle Duncan Roby and Asbury Carl Roby, Sr. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and was a United States Disabled Air Force veteran. Mr. Roby was a member of Highland Hills Baptist Church.
Mr. Roby is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cynthia Monroe Roby of Macon; daughters, Teresa Roby McRae (Doug) of Atlanta, Lisa Gail Roby of Decatur; grandchildren, Rebecca McRae Goepp (Eddie), and Douglas Wales McRae, Jr. (Laura).
