Barbara Faye Smith Carroll

Barbara Faye Smith Carroll, 77, passed away on October 9, 2021. A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, October 12th at Glenn Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road, Macon, GA 31216. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mrs. Carroll was born in Moultrie, GA to the late Bennet B. Smith and Ethel Register. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Carroll was a beautician in Macon for many years and she also was a bus driver in Peach County for nine years. She loved her cats, shopping, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Carroll was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Gary Mullis and her sisters, Winfred Holt and Willa Jean James.

Survivors include her loving husband of 63 years, James “Dickie” Carroll; children, Janet C. Mullis, Clifford Carroll (Donna) and Donna C. Plank (Travas); grandchildren, Melissa Rooney (Adam), Jessica Bernard (Bubba), Eric Carroll (Laura), Denice McMahan ( Branden) and Nicki Plank; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

I have known this family many years.Dickie and I was in school together been friends 70 years.I knew when he and Barbara married and lost touch until we found each other on F.B She will surely be missed her family loved her dearly.Jerry Young friends always to the family
