I had known Earl since the 1960’s. But only recently got to know him better when he came to Bolingreen about two years ago. It was nice to reconnect with an old friend. We knew many of the same people from Macon.
We became good friends here at Bolingreen.. We shared many memories and he was my best friend here. He was like a brother to me We had many conversations about our former lives . He only told me once of winning the Peach Blossom. He never bragged about his golfing accomplishments..
He was was a really good man and everyone at Bolingreen liked him very much because of the kind way he treated everyone.
I miss him.

I am so sorry to hear of Earls passing. I had the privilege of working with Earl for a few years at the bank. One memory that I have is a day at Idle Hour when I was playing with Earl and some of the bank executives. We were on twelve the par three We all hit and Earl stepped up and hit a great shot. He never really watched it and we kept saying that it may have gone in. He finally said he did hit it pretty well. So well that it was just another hole in one for him. I think his said that he had at least 12 at that time. We will miss Earl at Idle Hour

I am so sorry to hear about the death of Earl Bowden. He and I became friends when we worked together on the Cherry Blossom golf tournament . He was a very hard worker and the success of the tournament was due to his influence and hard work. I will surely miss him. Prayers go out to his family.
