William “Bill” Alldean Johnson, Sr., 86, passed away Monday at Pine Pointe Hospice. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with entombment in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The Rev. Clinton Jett and the Rev. Phil Bryant will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m., to service time on Wednesday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street, Macon 31201.
Mr. Johnson, son of the late William H. and Fleeta Rosa Johnson, was born in Fayetteville, NC. He served with the U. S. Marine Corps and was owner and operator of Johnson Builders. Mr. Johnson was a member of Victory Christian Center and Stone Edge Church where he served more than eighteen years as Secretary and Treasurer.
Survivors include his beloved family, his wife Pauline L. Johnson of Macon; his children, Dean (Judy) Johnson, Jr., Larry (Teresa) Johnson, Paula (Eddie) Parker all of Macon and Deborah (Kenneth) Warren of Warner Robins; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; his sisters, Novellene Smith of Warner Robins and Betty Dorsey of Orlando, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
