

Bobbie Jean Harvell, 84, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at her residence. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 3 at 2 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ron Holland officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. The family can be contacted at the residence of John and Sheila Conn.
Bobbie Jean was born in Thomaston, Georgia to the late Robert B. and Nettie R. Hadaway Dingler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Charles E. Harvell. Bobbie Jean graduated from Tift College in Forsyth where she majored in music and voice. She was the co-owner/bookkeeper of Macon Royal Tire Company, a family owned business for 45 years. Bobbie Jean, a member of Vineville Baptist Church since 1965, sang in the choir and was a soloist.
Bobbie Jean was beloved by many, for her outstanding personality and her humor. She was known for her love of vibrant fashion.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Chuck (Melissa) Harvell, Patricia (Phillip) Sheridan, Sheila (John) Conn; grandchildren, Charles Dustin (Autumn) Harvell, Amber Harvell Owens, Katherine Sheridan and Trey Sheridan; great-grandchildren, Hallie Lyn Owens and Charles “C.J.” Harvell.
