

Carl E. Hadarits passed away on Monday, October 6 at Pine Pointe Hospice after a 16 years courageous fight to Wegner’s disease. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 9 at 3 p.m. at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Mike Ingram officiating. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, October 8 at 6 p.m. with visitation following at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Burial will be private in Macon Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Pine Pointe Hospice, 6261 Peake Road, Macon 31210 or Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 4074 Chambers Road, Macon, 31216.
Carl was born in Macon to the late Joseph and Mary Hadarits. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louisa Hadarits; brothers, Alex, Ernest and Joe, Jr., and his niece, Lisa Kersey. Carl attended Lanier High School, Class of 1953; College at Springhill in Mobile, Alabama and Mercer University. He was the owner of Bibb Truss Company for many years. Carl was a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Carl is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Joye T. Hadarits; stepson, Steven Yates and family of Lakeview, Oregon; nieces, Maria, Diane, Marsella and Kathleen and nephew, Herman and many great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Pine Pointe Hospice for the care he received and a special thank you to his sitters, Portia, Sheila and Nija.
