

Macon, GA- Charles Levi Bedingfield, Sr. 76, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Bryant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society , 804 Cherry St., Macon GA 31201.
Mr. Bedingfield was born in Wrightsville, GA to the late George Roy and Lula Etheridge Bedingfield and was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Bedingfield. He was a graduate of Dudley Hughes High School, where he played all sports and received most athletic player and was recognized as All State Full Back in football. Mr. Bedingfield was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bedingfield was retired after thirty eight years of service from Armstrong World Industries and was a member of the Local 461 Union. He was known for his love for selling Christmas Trees at the Macon Farmers Market for thirty years. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Carr Bedingfield of Macon, children, Sherry (Mike) Reynolds of Tampa, Chuck Bedingfield of Macon, Todd (Kristy) Bedingfield of Centerville, five grandchildren and one great grandchild, sister, Winne Francavage of Macon, brother, Terry Bedingfield of Macon, and several nieces and nephews.
