Christian Thomas Collins
August 25, 1993 – August 27, 2021
Christian Thomas Collins, 28, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021. Please continue to watch for updates on the services as A Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
Christian was born on August 25, 1993 in Boynton Beach, Florida. He was born with a rare genetic disease called Fanconi Anemia that created many complications in his life. His early years were filled with hospital visits, treatments and surgeries all around the United States. When he was two years old his parents were told that no one with his disease mutation had ever lived past the age of four. At the age of seven in 2000, he underwent a bone marrow transplant in Berlin, Germany. In June 2001, the family moved back to Georgia and with his immediate life threatening issues behind him, he began to thrive. His main job was Inspirational Leader but his other works included being a member of the Lamar County Sheriff’s Office, National Spokesperson for Caddy For A Cure (a PGA tour charity at www.caddyforacure.com), founder of Nighthawk Services (a security company) and was a caddy for Bubba Watson at The Masters golf tournament. His loves include his family, his animals, hockey, golf, the military and law enforcement, western US history, food and talking. Christian made the most of his twenty four bonus years by loving life, loving people, building deep relationships and sharing his love of Jesus.
Christian is survived by his parents, Chris and Susan Akers Collins of Macon; siblings, Colby (Melissa) Collins, Cameron (Amy) Collins, Connor Collins, Calen Collins, and Francine (Dave) Sauer; nephew, Carson Sauer; niece, Isabella Sauer; paternal grandmother, Joan Hudgins; maternal grandmother, Carol Akers.

Christian was a blessing from God and as a child he knew God was real and very near. We saw God work miracles in his life as a result of His family's love and prayers plus His church family's round the clock prayers. Each member of his family was so precious but he gave spark and spunk to every occasion. He had a lot of wit and wisdom to share with us mere mortals. He was a delightful young man who I was privileged to know.

Hanging out with Christian and his brother is what I looked forward to everyday at Jay’s Hope Camp. We would play games, joke around, and would even laugh at how many times he could beat me in Cup Pong. There was never a dull moment with Christian. I’m going to miss his smile and his presence and joking about almost anything with him.
His legacy will surely continue to live on in my heart.
Gone but not forgotten. Love 💜

Christian texted me on July 1st. He told me goodbye and that he was boarding the plane. He then texted that he had landed safely. When he arrived, he sent me a link to order a Tarp hat because I admired his so much! He told me he was gonna give me his BUT I guess he changed his mind and said it's only 32.00 dollars!!! Lol!
Christian always had such a kind spirit, although, he didn't give me his hat!
He always shared hilarious stories and pictures with me during Jay's Hope summer camp about his "pig". I would look forward to seeing him, Caden, Melissa and his loving mother each year.
We love you Christian, but God loves you the most! 🙏🦋
