Donna M. Hyatt

Donna M. Hyatt, 71, died Wednesday, September 3, 2014. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with the Rev. Chris Minton officiating. Burial will be private in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. The family will meet friends from 5 – 7 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. They ask that memorial contributions be made to Lizella Baptist Church, 2950 South Lizella Road, Lizella 31052.

Mrs. Hyatt, wife of the late Albert Eugene Hyatt, Jr., was a lifelong resident of Macon. She was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Virginia Adams Mills. Mrs. Hyatt was a retired secretary after thirty-three years with the Bibb County Board of Education and had worked at Burghard Elementary and Skyview Elementary. She was a member of Lizella Baptist Church and the Red Hat Society. She loved to travel and garden. Most of all, she loved her family and her friends.

She is survived by those she loved most, her daughter, Laurie Hyatt Oliver of Macon; her son, Bucky (Amy) Hyatt of Forsyth; her beloved grandchildren Austin Eugene Hyatt, Jansen Hyatt Oliver and Loren Gregory Oliver; her brother, Rocky (Vicki) Mills of Macon and her nephew, Chris (Jolie) Mills.
