Doris Sanders Logan, 93, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at a local hospital. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono with burial at 1 p.m. at Asbury Methodist Church Cemetery, Gordon, GA. The Rev. Mark Hudgins will officiate. The family will meet friends from 10 a.m. to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. They suggest that those who wish may make donations to Ingleside Baptist Church Building Fund, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon, GA 31210 or to the American Heart Association, 5962 Zebulon Road PMB 359, Macon, GA 31210.
Mrs. Logan, wife of the late Lawrence Woodrow Logan, was born in Gordon the daughter of the late Robert Marion Sanders and Daisy Aycock Sanders. She was a Registered Nurse earning her degree during World War II as an Army Cadet at Crawford Long Hospital. Mrs. Logan retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia. She was a charter member of Ingleside Baptist Church and a charter member of Manley Memorial Baptist Church, Eatonton.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen L. (Wayne) Crowley of Macon and Laurel Iris (Ian) Tinney of Berthoud, CO; two grandsons, Dathan Tinney and Jared Tinney; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
