Dorothy Mae Hunter

THOMASTON – Dorothy Mae Ranow Hunter, 88, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Turners Chapel Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Butler. Rev. Phil Bozeman will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 PM Tuesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue, Macon, GA 31206.

Mrs. Hunter was born in Taylor County, Georgia, was a self-employed seamstress, and also worked for Lipson’s Fabrics. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Anderson Ranow and Maggie Price Ranow and was preceded in death by a son, Harold Wainwright. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Turners Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hunter is survived by her daughter, Juanita (Wiley) Bailey of Hampton; grandchildren, Robert Bailey of Hampton, Wade Bailey of Columbus, Harold Wainwright, Jr. of Thomaston and LaShan Evans of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Nell Linder of Thomaston; several nieces and nephews
