

Eddie Blackmon Hudspeth II, DVM, 86, passed away on Friday, May 26, 2017 in Atlanta, Georgia. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, May 30 at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Chip Miller, Eddie Hudspeth and Andy Watson officiating. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at 5 p.m. at Blakely City Cemetery in Blakely, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to First Presbyterian Church, 682 Mulberry Street, Macon 31201.
Eddie was born in Blakely to the late John Patrick and Hazel Shepard Hudspeth. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha McKibben Hudspeth. Eddie moved to Macon in 1956. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Macon Rotary Club, and the Elks Club, where he held many offices. Eddie loved fishing and growing roses. He was owner/operator of Hudspeth Animal Hospital since 1968 where he was lived out his passion for pet care.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan Mosley (Ricky) of Savannah, Patricia “Sissy” Huff (Al) of Sandy Springs, and Eddie B. Hudspeth III (Shelley) of Bonaire; seven granddaughters and one great-granddaughter.
