Elizabeth C. "Bette" Williams

MACON - Elizabeth (Bette) Catherine Williams (nee Dell), of Macon entered into rest Monday, July 9, 2012. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Allan McDonald officiating. A private burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Main Gate. A Rosary will be said at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 830 Poplar Street, Macon, GA 31201 or to Heartland Hospice, 200 Northside Drive, Macon, GA 31210.

Bette was the daughter of Albert Joseph Dell, and Elizabeth Mary Rietz Dell of Philadelphia, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Ralph Lane Williams of Macon. Bette was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Devoted to her family, she is survived by her seven children: Lane, Jr. and wife Kathy of Evans; Carl Williams and wife Shirley of Fayetteville; Donald Williams of Macon; Kathleen Pearce and husband John of Macon; Elizabeth Williams and husband Barry Heffernan of Griffin; Cecelia Williams and her fiancé, John McElrath, III of Macon; Regina Campbell and husband J. of Albany; six grandchildren: John Michael Pearce of Athens, Elizabeth Burris and husband James of Macon, Matthew Williams and Joshua Williams of Atlanta, Alexandra Campbell and Jacob Campbell of Albany; and one great-grandchild, Abby Burris of Macon; two sisters: Mary Pritchard of Columbus, NJ, and Rita Graver of Levittown, PA.
