Ellen Johnson Schneider

Ellen Johnson Schneider, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 29, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ingleside Baptist Church with Dr. Mark Hudgins officiating. The family will greet friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ingleside Baptist Church, 834 Wimbish Road, Macon GA 31204. The family is requesting everyone wear bright colors to her service.

Ellen was born in Houston, Texas to the late Elmer Carter and Margaret Madeline Taylor Johnson. She retired as a Marketing Director with Motorola. Ellen was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the Prime-Time Sunday School Class. She was a master gardener, and enjoyed sewing, quilting, cross stitching, scuba diving and photography. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Schneider of Macon, daughter, Michele (Chris) Hawkins of Macon, grandchildren, Sarah Ellen Hawkins and Jacob Michael Hawkins both of Macon, and sister, Kathy Snodgrass of California.
