Emily Francis Coile Rachels, 83, left this world headed for Heaven on January 31, 2013. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Chris Minton officiating..

A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and stepmother, she was loved and will be greatly missed. Even as a stepmother, she became our momma. We thank God for the time He allowed us to have her and with our love we return her to Him. Daughter of the late William McKinley Coile and Hattie Jewell Hickman Coile, Emily was born and raised in Monroe County – later marrying Brantley M. (Doc) Scott, resulting in her only son, Randy Scott. Later she married Bill Rachels of Macon.

Survivors include her son, Gary Randall “Randy” Scott (Barbara) of Hampton; her stepdaughters, Paula Rachels Mitchell (Mike) and Tammy Rachels Hulsey (Alton), all of Macon; her grandchildren, Bethany Scott, Steven Mann, Kenneth Mann, Christopher Hulsey (Jillian) and Ryan Hulsey; her sisters, Katherine Glore of Byron and Edna Bowdoin of Atlanta; her brother, Marvin Coile of Byron; several nieces and nephews.
