
Frances Alexander Woodall, 85, died peacefully on January 25, 2014. She was born and spent her childhood years in Gainesville, GA, with her parents, Inez and Frank Alexander, and three sisters. After marrying Raymond (J.R.) Woodall, they eventually moved in 1954 to Clayton, GA, which was their home for 48 years. Upon her husband’s death four years ago, she moved to Carlyle Place in Macon, GA. She is survived by two children, Cathy Corrigan (Mike) of Macon and Steve Woodall of Clayton; four grandchildren, Michael Corrigan (Kristi) and Brian Corrigan (Summer) of Macon, Emily Cowherd (Justin) of Winterville, and Sarah Bradley of Athens; ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Nadine Childs of Clarksville and JoAnn Powell (Gene) of Birmingham, AL. Preceding her in death was her sister, Juanita Campbell of Atlanta.
Her body will be cremated and the family will hold a private memorial. The family requests memorial gifts be donated to Vineville Baptist Church, 2591 Vineville Ave, Macon, GA 31204 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 886 Mulberry Street, Macon, GA 31201.
