Georgia Lingle Rose, 99, passed away after an extended illness. A private graveside will be held at Liberty United Methodist Church. Dr. Laudis H. "Rick" Lanford will officiate. In lieu of flowers and food, donations may be made to Liberty United Methodist Church Missions. The family wishes to thank John Wesley Villas and her Care Givers (especially Crystaline) for the care and attention given to Georgia.
Born in Augusta, Georgia to J.C. and Lillian Lingle, Georgia grew up in Richmond County, Georgia. She graduated High School in New York and attended Elmira State College. Georgia married Joseph Rose of Elmira, and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage together. She was active in Community Service and particularly the local hospital in Elmira, NY. She modeled and worked closely with her husband in Real Estate and Automobile Businesses. After his death, she moved to Sebring, Florida and married a family friend, Robert Siegel. They were married 10 years. After Robert Siegel's death, Georgia moved to Macon, Georgia to be close to family and lived at John Wesley Villas Independent Living Community since 2012.
Georgia attended and held dear her church, Liberty United Methodist Church.
Georgia is survived by her cousins, Shirley H. Lanford (Dr. Charles), Charles A. "Chuck" Lanford, Jr. (Sherri), Dr. Laudis H. "Rick" Lanford (Kim), Becky L. Candler (Charles), Holly B. Lanford (Michael Polak), and DeeDee Tarkenton (Dallas), Jodie Britton (George), and Judge Beau Oglesby (Anne).
