I loved Ms. Jackson! She taught me math at Wilco Junior High in the 80s and was the sponsor of the yearbook staff. I was just showing my son an ornament she gave me the year I was editor, and it's hung on my Christmas tree every year since! I left Wilkinson County for college and didn't return after I graduated, but many times when I was home, I went to visit Ms. Jackson and say "Hello!" She will be dearly missed!

I used to help “Miss Ginger” decorate her home at Christmas when she lived in Jeffersonville, rode to school with her, took piano lessons from her, rode to Memas to eat and see my boyfriend ( now husband of 35 years), and just enjoyed her friendship. She was such a wonderful teacher and friend. I hate that I lost touch with her. So many wonderful memories❤️😢😢

Oh goodness. I am so sorry to hear this. Ms. Ginger lived in my neighborhood and drove a car full of kids (including myself) to school everyday. She would let us turn the radio up & I specifically remember jamming to "Dirty Laundry". She was a wonderful person.

I met Ginger when she became a part of Grace Bible Class at Forest Hills Methodist Church in Macon, GA. As we got to know each other we realized we had many things in common and became good friends.
Ginger was a very strong woman. She loved her fur babies and Christmas. She put her heart and effort into hosting the Grace Bible Class Christmas social each year. She also opened her home for the Church members to have a tour of her fabulous Christmas decorations.
Crawford, Ginger, our friend Shirley May and me became the Sunday Lunch Bunch. We would take turns choosing where we would eat. We all had our favorite places and everyone enjoyed the time.
In addition to our love of dogs, we both loved bingo. And when we won a round and got a bag of goodies you would have thought we won the lottery.
Crawford and me are honored that Ginger allowed us to adopt her beloved fur baby Molly. She knew we would give her good care and the love she was accustomed to.
On our last visit with Ginger, we carried Molly with us and we had Holy Communion with sacraments provided by Forest Hills UMC. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Ginger we will miss you very much, but we take comfort in knowing your suffering is over and you are with our Lord and your love ones who left the world before you.
