She was the daughter of the late Burma Odell & Florine Rogers of Oglethorpe County, Georgia. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy R. Smith.
Glenda loved knowledge and always stayed abreast of what was going on in the world. She enjoyed history and remembering how events of the past had shaped and continue to shape our future. She was raised Pentecostal and loved the word of the Lord. Before she became sick, she taught Sunday School, sang in choir, and helped in the Church kitchen at her Church in Athens, GA.
She was a beautiful woman and an incredible Mother and she will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the First Christian Church. Burial will be private. Rev. Will Johnson will officiate. The family will greet friends following the memorial service and ask that those who wish make donations to First Christian Church, 2306 Vineville Avenue, Macon 31204 or Furever After Rescue, PO Box 7075, Macon 31209.
