Helen L. Hurley, 89, passed away on Monday, August 11. Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 1 p.m. at Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Jody Long officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Baptist Church of Christ, 511 High Place, Macon, GA 31201 or the Methodist Children’s Home, 304 Pierce Avenue, Macon 31204.
Mrs. Hurley was born in Savannah to the late Ruby Lee Harn Lindsey and Peter Charleston Lindsey. She was a retired bookkeeper from Glo-Oil Company and a member of the Presbyterian faith.
Mrs. Hurley is survived by her daughter, Linda H. Land; granddaughter LeAnn Land Jones (Brandon); great-granddaughter, Hayden L. Jones; brothers, Jackie L. Lindsey, Charles E. Lindsey (Eloise) and A. Craig Lindsey (Bobbie), and her sister, Kay L. Spinks (Hurley).
