Helen Lane Sanders

Mary Helen Lane Sanders, 91, died at a local hospital on December 13, 2012. The funeral service will be held at the Mausoleum Chapel at Macon Memorial Park on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 2:00pm with the Rev. Teresa Edwards officiating. The family requests that donations be made to Wesley Glen Ministries, 3711 Agape Village Rd., Macon, 31210 or Covenant Care Services, 3950 Ridge Ave., Macon, 31210. Mrs. Sanders was preceded in death by her husband, Milton W. Sanders in 1980, and a sister, Muriel Deloach. She was born in Lyons, GA to the late John E. Lane and Gertrude Sharpe Lane.

She was a member of Forest Hills United Methodist Church for 48 years and active in the life of the Church until recently. She was a homemaker and also involved in the Macon Garden Club.

Mrs. Sanders is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Sherry Sanders of Macon; grandchildren, Jennifer Sanders of Macon, and Angie (Jay) Hilliard of Macon; great grandchildren, Morgan Lynn Culberson, Will Culberson, Maggie Culberson, Ashlynn Hilliard, and Carleigh Hilliard; brothers, Emory (Betty) Lane of Orlando, FL, Larry (Robbie) Lane of Rome, GA, and Harry (Melba) Lane of Cookeville, TN.
