

Herbert Lewis Warren, 81, died Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Porterfield Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono on Wednesday, June 12th at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jody Branch officiating. The family will greet friends Wednesday, June 12th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Perry, GA on Thursday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorial contributions to United Hospice, 6060 Lake Commons Drive, Macon 31210.
Mr. Warren was born May 24, 1932 in Perry, Georgia, the son of the late Glenn Warren and Johnnie Britt Warren. He was predeceased by a son, Steve Dwayne Warren and a daughter, Lynn Renee Warren. Mr. Warren was retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service, having served in Vietnam. He owned a Chevron Service Station and was a mechanic. He loved the outdoors and camping, loved music and picked the banjo, and attended Blue Grass Festivals.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy H. Warren of Macon; daughter, Joy Warren Barlow of Macon; three sons, Barry Lewis Warren of Macon, Clifford James Tidwell of McIntyre, Georgia, and Lynwood Powell Rogers, Jr. of Macon, 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
