Hilda Z. Harvey

Hilda Zachry Harvey, 90, passed away on Saturday, August 16 in Macon. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John J. Napoli, III officiating. A private burial will be at West View Cemetery in Milledgeville. The family will greet friends on Friday, August 29 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Cherry Street.

Mrs. Harvey was born in Milledgeville to the late Walter Little Zachry, Jr. and Katie Lou Posey. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jean “Buddy” Wirick and Frank F. Harvey. Mrs. Harvey graduated from Georgia State College for Women, the University of Georgia and received her Masters from the University of South Florida in Tampa. She taught First Grade for a total of forty years, retiring at Blankner Elementary School in Orlando where she had been for the last thirty years of her career.

Survivors include her daughter Nancy McDonald (James) Terhorst; grandchildren, Allison (Bruno) Terhorst Ewald, Michael (Shelby) Terhorst, and Scott Terhorst; great-granddaughter, Devon Michelle Terhorst; nephews, D. Larry Davis and Randall Z. Davis; and her niece, Donna D. Deason.
