MACON – Homer Clarence Willis, 73, passed away Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Pine Pointe Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday at Snow’s Memorial Chapel, Pio Nono Avenue with burial in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Pastor Ronnie Campbell will officiate. The family will meet friends from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Willis, son of the late Charlie Freeman Willis and Mary Conley Willis, was born in Glenwood and had served with the U. S. Navy. He was a fork lift operator and shop foreman with Politex USA, Inc. Mr. Willis was a member of God’s Church of Worship and Praise.
Survivors include his beloved family, his wife of fifty years, Betty Benefield Willis of Macon; his daughters, Kathy (Craig) James and Cindy (Brent) Thompson, all of Byron; five grandchildren, Brandi Norman of Byron, Brandon “Ben” Norman of Shreveport, LA, Brooke Norman of Valdosta, Christopher Clarence (Stephanie) Green of Pine Valley, NY and Kimberly Lynn Smith of Cullman, AL; three great grandchildren, Mason Green and MacKenzie Green of Pine Valley, NY and Bryce Smith of Cullman, AL; three sisters, Brenda (Ray) Kemp of Lizella, Glenda Kemp of Eastman and Charlene (Paul) Butler of Hiram and a number of nieces and nephews.
