Hugh Allen “Red” Morris, 67, passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Homeport Veterans Center, 5009 Harrison Road, Macon GA 31206.
Red was born in Griffin, Georgia to the late Bill Morris and Vernelle Allen Morris Bunn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Owens Morris, brother, William Morris and stepdaughter, Charlene Barlow. He grew up in Zebulon, Georgia and served his country in the United States Navy near the end of Vietnam War. Red enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening with friends and family. Red worked as a roofer and Farmers Furniture.
He is survived by his sisters, Sandra Morris and Judy (Dennis) Doucet, step-son, Charlie Thomas, step-daughter, Cindy (Scott) Lenderman, his four grandchildren that he loved dearly, two nephews, and his good friends, Carol Sain, Charlotte Nobles and Major Brown.
