

Macon – Hugh Johnson Bryant, 91, passed away September 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday September 19, 2012 at Liberty United Methodist Church on Houston Rd. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Bob Shell will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the funeral home, and Mr. Bryant will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Bryant was born in Macon to the late W.S. Byrant and Napper Johnson Bryant. He was a well driller by trade and was retired from Robins Air Force Base. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church where he was a member of The Methodist Men’s Club. Mr. Byrant was also a member of Rutland Lions Club and Rutland Masonic Lodge F&AM #298.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years Mary Grace “Tillie” Bryant of Macon; daughter, Gena “Judy” Jansen (Dick) of Idaho Falls, ID; grandchildren, Joanna Leigh Jansen (Carl), Andrew “Drew” Bryant Jansen (Ashley); one great granddaughter, Arden.
